Yoko Ayukawa : Artist

Tokyo based artist Yoko Ayukawa was born in Fukuoka Japan as the daughter of a rock musician , surrounded by art, music and self expression from an early age. After she graduated high school, she started to work at a graphic design office and also as a model. And soon she was a busy model in Japan. She was also active as a model abroad, she worked for top designers including Chanel working as a runway model. In 2017, while being featured as the model in a photography exhibition at an art gallery, she showed some of her work to the gallery owner, who after seeing her work, immediately invited her to exhibit her work at that gallery. After the success of this exhibition, she decided to dedicate her life to her art full time. She paints in a unique pop style all her own with vibrant colors that shine with the vitality of life itself. Her art is a study in the sanguine, an unapologetic and eccentric optimism permeates her work. Working with acrylics, sometimes with crayon, color pencils, she creates a unique world of bright, evoking the joyfulness of a sunny day.
